I loved you, 2011!

I took my two nieces and nephew on a walk to the end of Long Island on the North Fork earlier this week, near my parents’s house.

It was windy and wild where the Sound met the bay and the ocean. I loved watching their faces as they took it all in.

I love spending time with them and every other beautiful being in my family.

It feeds my insides with what’s essential.

It’s been an amazing year of yummy. Ria, above, joined our family from the Horsecreek Animal Refuge. I had my first and second art shows. I played with Misty Mawn. I consulted with Hiro Boga.

I giggled with Jodi, Susanna, Meera, Rose, Joe, Anu, Paula, Meg — my friends where I live.

Something else that I did all year was truly seismic, though.

I listened to intuition — my inner knowing — whenever it told me something, however it told me something … without fail.

  1. I glad to read your Year of Yummy was filled with so much love. So how did following your intuition impact the year you had?

    • Great question, Miss Courageous!

      It did so very much.

It gave me an open and daily dialogue with my intuition so I could ask it things before making decisions. This resulted in more joy in the choices and the cool things that unfolded as a result of the intuition-informed choices.

I felt more grounded, less doubtful, less stressed and more confident.

It was also tough at times, because, if people asked me to do things or join things or be something that my intuition was like NOT A GOOD IDEA MOE!!, then I had to find a way to tell them … gently with compassion and love.

There’s more to say, but the coffee is boiling and it’s way early for me.

But I love your question. Thank you!

  2. I hope 2012 is every bit as wonderful as the last!! Your classes sound wonderful…

    x..x
