Art Journaling Night at Women’s Art Circle
I am really psyched about the next Women’s Art Circle, coming up on Wednesday, February 1st. We are going to explore Art Journaling, one of my most favorite art-making things to do!
I’ve got brand-spanking new blank journals all ready to hand out, along with stamps, glitter, gel pens, markers, paper ephemera, magazines, etc. And up there’s a page from one of my own art journals.
It’s 7-9 pm in Downtown Somerville, NJ. All materials are included for $20. Messiness is encouraged! Register at Art Circle Project.
Meanwhile, check out these for Art Journaling inspiration:

Teen Art Circle
I’ve cooked up something cool over at my other site.
It’s a 4-week Art Journaling thing for teens — that’s part art therapy and part play.
Check out me stumbling through learning how to make my first video announcement ever! Woohoo!

I loved you, 2011!
I took my two nieces and nephew on a walk to the end of Long Island on the North Fork earlier this week, near my parents’s house.
It was windy and wild where the Sound met the bay and the ocean. I loved watching their faces as they took it all in.
I love spending time with them and every other beautiful being in my family.
It feeds my insides with what’s essential.
It’s been an amazing year of yummy. Ria, above, joined our family from the Horsecreek Animal Refuge. I had my first and second art shows. I played with Misty Mawn. I consulted with Hiro Boga.
I giggled with Jodi, Susanna, Meera, Rose, Joe, Anu, Paula, Meg — my friends where I live.
Something else that I did all year was truly seismic, though.
I listened to intuition — my inner knowing — whenever it told me something, however it told me something … without fail.

Beach Love
I grew up on an island where you had to travel no more than 15 miles from north to south to reach a beach. I was there all summer. We had family camping vacations there. It was one of the first places I wanted to drive to when I got my license.
You’d think by now that I’d had my fill.
But, you know, many years later … the beach remains one of the places where I get refilled.
Last weekend, I found a new beach that I fell in love with.
Dear Oguncuit,
I’ll be back this summer.
Love,
Moe
